Chiapas, Mexico Bayunka 1kg Bag
Founded by Don Ricardo Baumann in 1926, his two sons Carlos & Ricardo Ibarra took over production after their father passed away. Carlos & Ricardo started a new lot with a variety called Bayunka. We were lucky enough to meet them at the coffee Expo in Houston this past April and we are beyond excited to be working with them this year! The two brothers are doing amazing work in Chiapas and are helping neighboring coffee producers improve their quality, volume and crops every year. On their farm they also grow other varieties of coffee and roast/distribute their own coffee all over Mexico. They have a longterm vision to help expand their processing to their neighbor’s coffee cherries while maintaining fair costs. We’re happy to call Bayunka one of our core coffees at Provecho.
